AUGUR: To make predictions from signs or omens. (also known as a SEER, a SOOTHSAYER, a PROPHET)
CLAIRVOYANT: To see objects or events that cannot be preceived by the senses. (also known as a MEDIUM)
CLAIRAUDIENT: Connecting to the spirit world through sound. (being able to hear the spirits
talking)
CLAIRSENSORY: Connecting to the spirit world through odors and touch. (being able to
tell the presence of spirits by their odor ie: perfume, after shave - also being able to
feel their presence)
DIVINATOR: Foreseeing future events or obtaining secret knowledge through divine sources, oracles, or omens.
FORECASTER: Predicting the future. (also known as a FORTUNE TELLER, a PROGNOSTICATOR, a VATICINATOR)
TELEPATHER: Knowledge conveyed from one person to another without the use of any of the five senses. (also known as ESP)
VISIONARY: Seeing the past and the future through visions or dreams.
As their titles vary, so does the method used. Here is a list of terms and their meanings:
ASTROLOGY: Using the stars, planets and other objects in the sky on their relation to the earth.
CRYSTAL GAZING: Using a Crystal Ball to foretell the future.
ESP: Having knowledge without the use of the five senses.
HOROSCOPE: An astrological forecast of a person based on the
planet and stars at the moment of birth.
PALMISTRY: Foretelling from the lines, marks and patterns in
the palm of the hand.
TAROT: The use of 78 pictorial cards representing forces of
nature and the virtues and vices of humanity to foretell.

PARAPSYCHOLOGY: The study of paranormal or psychic phenomena
not explainable by the accepted principles of science.
PHENOMEON: An unusual, significant, or unaccountable fact or occurrence.
SUPERNATURAL: Of or relating to existence outside the natural world.
